City of Wanneroo Business Awards 2017 & 2018 Finalist “Trades Service Excellence”
All come pre-primed ready for decorating. Some customers choose to leave “as is” and others paint. If you are thinking of decorating, we would always advise installing our products prior to decorating where possible.
We are based at 4/49 Boranup Avenue, Clarkson but prior appointments are necessary as the unit is closed when the team are out on installs.
Easy. Our products are incredibly lightweight so transport cost effectively. We use Australia Post for our ceiling roses and a local company for our cornices and door frames. If you supply your postcode and the code and quantity of each item required, we can give you an “all in” price for product, packaging and postage.
There are no mechanical, electrical or moving parts that can break down, so our products come almost risk free, ready to install. We guarantee our workmanship. Accidental damage or faulty workmanship associated with DIY installation or lack or care/neglect after purchase and delivery will not come under this guarantee
Yes we do. If you want it attended to quickly, then hourly rates apply. Alternatively, if you are happy to wait until a technician is in your area, it will be a more cost-effective way to save your budget, as hourly rates and travel times will not be incorporated. Just let us know when you submit your enquiry
Ceilings and walls are 2 different materials. The cornice cement used to stick the cornice up, sticks to the plasterboard (what Gyprock cornices are made of) better than the sand and cement render on the walls. With movement, the cornice will pull away from the render and you are left with the ugly cracking underneath.
Our cornices were designed from scratch by Andrew, founder and owner of Authentic Additions. With over 40 years worldwide experience in ceilings and cornices, he researched and designed a permanent solution to the problem. The rebated edge allows movement to occur/continue, but it is now behind the cornice, not underneath it.
Every home differs as prices depend on the size of each room, the design chosen, whether you want our cornice “additions” fitted to both top and bottom of your existing cornices, or just the bottom, and whether you want supply only, or supply and installation. Please send a copy of your house plans to Diane at: with the information above and we can provide you with a tailor-made quote to suit your needs. Alternatively, submit an enquiry form from our website and we can arrange to visit and measure and quote for you.
Yes, our cornice “additions” can be used for decorative purposes only. Even if you don’t have cracking, adding our cornices to your existing plain ones, will add that ‘WOW’ factor into every room in your home, and without the mess of ripping out the old.
Our cornice “additions” range from $12.50* to $16.00* per 2.2m length, meaning we can supply a 4m x 4m room, below the cornice only, for as little as $100.00* *+gst
We designed this for bathroom/laundry/wet area renovations. Tiles today are thicker and if you fit to existing Gyprock cornice, will “stick out” from it. If you want to tile right up, ask your tiler to talk to us. For $50.00 * it fits onto your existing cornice and your new tiles can be fitted right up to it. It is a much cheaper option than ripping down the cornice and re-installing after tiling, and less mess too! *+gst
This often happens when a room is partitioned off, or a wardrobe is removed. We can source the identical product and supply and install so it matches the existing. If you have a traditional plaster cornice, we take a piece of the existing moulding away with us, re-model that piece so it matches the existing, and supply and fit it back with the existing cornice.
We can supply our door frames for as little as $75.00*. Installation is $90.00* per single door, but we do reduced rates for multi-door installations.
Our 4 designs are different sizes to suit most homes, but for a small cost we can plane the edges to individually fit, or they can be fitted to 2 sides of a door instead.
We recommend using a “liquid nails” type adhesive, and either a prop or drywall screws. Apply the glue around the rose on the rough edges, put into place and either prop overnight or insert a couple of drywall screws (that can be left in and filled) overnight to allow for maximum adhesion
Easy. All our ceiling roses are made from polyurethane that is both light and pliable. The holes can be cut to size using a knife, but for a perfect round cut, we recommend using a pad saw.
Although it can look quite daunting to an owner or tenant, it isn’t always as bad as it seems. The quickest option is to send a few photos across of the damaged area (either via our enquiry form on the website, email or text Diane 0412 901821) we will look and get back to you with our honest opinion within 24 hours
Always attend to the leak first. Remove the flaky paint and allow it to dry fully. You may need to apply a stain block or oil-based sealer to the water damage area before finishing with a coat of ceiling paint. If you require a painter, please call or email and we can give you details.
We see this all the time. Some unfortunately can’t be saved, but in our experience, most can. The ceilings are held up with “straps” that are attached over the roof joists. Over time, these degrade and break down, resulting in them no longer holding the ceiling in place. We can put new straps in, and plenty more so your ceiling is back in place. Re-strapping isn’t a temporary solution, it lasts years and will save you $000’s. Why take down and renew when you just need to re-strap.
